Privacy Policy
Last updated
Betcha! helps friends make predictions, agree on results, and keep score with fictional points. This policy explains what happens to your information when you use Betcha! at betcha.sagipolaczek.com.
Who operates Betcha!
Betcha! is operated by Sagi Polaczek. For privacy questions or requests about your information, contact sagi.polaczek@gmail.com.
Information we collect
- Google account information. When you choose Google sign-in, we receive your Google account identifier, name, email address, email verification status, and profile picture URL when available. Authentication records may also include Google tokens, granted permissions, and expiration times.
- Your activity in Betcha!. We store the groups you create or join, your display name and membership, invitations, prediction questions, resolution criteria, choices, fictional stakes, result confirmations, point balances, settlement records, and associated timestamps.
- Session and security information. This includes session identifiers, IP addresses, browser information, authentication attempts, and operational logs needed to run and protect the service.
- Messages you send us. If you contact us, we receive your email address and the information you include.
The anonymous demo runs in your current browser tab. Its changes are not saved to your account and reset when you reload. Hosting providers still process the requests needed to serve the site.
Google access and how we use it
Betcha! requests only basic Google sign-in permissions: your identity, email address, and profile. We use them to create and recognize your account, sign you in securely, and identify you to the groups you join. We do not request access to Gmail messages, Google Drive files, contacts, or calendars, and we never receive your Google password.
We use account, activity, and technical information to provide group features, keep score, maintain sessions, prevent abuse, troubleshoot errors, and respond to support requests. We do not sell personal information, use Google data for advertising, or use it to train AI models.
Our handling of Google data follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements. Google data is used only for the disclosed features and related security, support, and legal needs.
Who can see your information
Other members of a group can see your display name and that group’s predictions, choices, results, and point records. Your email address, Google tokens, and session details are not included in group views. Anyone who receives a valid group invitation can sign in and explicitly join, so share invitation links only with people you trust. Group members can copy information they can see.
Cloudflare provides hosting, database storage, and operational infrastructure. Google processes sign-in under its own privacy policy. These providers process information needed to deliver their services and may process it in countries other than yours. Betcha! does not currently offer email-code login; if enabled later, the sign-in email provider and its data use will be disclosed here before launch.
The operator may access information as needed to respond to a request you make, investigate security issues or abuse, or meet legal obligations. Information may be disclosed when required by law or necessary to protect users and the service.
Cookies and storage
We use cookies for sign-in, session security, and your language preference. The language preference lasts up to one year unless you clear it sooner. The app does not include advertising cookies or third-party behavioral analytics. Blocking essential cookies can prevent sign-in from working.
Account and group records are stored in the hosted database. HTTPS protects connections, and stored OAuth access and refresh tokens are encrypted by the authentication system. No service can guarantee absolute security.
Retention, deletion, and your choices
We retain account and group records to operate the service and preserve shared activity until they are removed following a request or are no longer needed. The beta does not have automatic account deletion or a fixed automatic purge schedule. Expired sessions and technical records may remain until cleaned up.
To request access, correction, or deletion of your account and personal information, email sagi.polaczek@gmail.com from the address associated with your account. Requests are handled manually, and we may need to verify that the account belongs to you. We will explain any information that must be retained for security, legal obligations, or shared records, and remove or de-identify personal information where appropriate. Copies already saved by other group members are outside our control.
You can also remove Betcha!’s access in your Google Account connections. Revoking Google access does not by itself delete existing Betcha! records or end an existing Betcha! session; sign out of Betcha! and contact us for deletion.
Children and policy updates
Betcha! is for adults aged 18 and over. People under 18 must not use the service, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. Before sign-in, we ask you to confirm that you are at least 18; this is a self-declaration, not identity or age verification. We do not request your date of birth or identity documents. If you believe someone under 18 has provided personal information, contact sagi.polaczek@gmail.com so we can investigate and remove their account and personal information as appropriate.
Updates will appear on this page with a revised date. If we change how we use Google information, we will provide notice and obtain any required consent before using it for a new purpose.
